@Ronnie21093 Jokes aside though, my best suggestion would be looking at foreign guns for non-5.56 ammo. Chinese have their own ammo in the form of 5.8x42mm for their rifles.
Chinese use the QBZ-191 as their service rifle atm, which is chambered in the above ammo.- :awoo_tired: shotgun snuggler :clownpiece_smug: likes this.

@Hezbolloli Made by the chinks though so I don't have much hope in their claim that it's better then 5.56. -

@supersid333 The bullet is fatter and probably no quality control with the propellent. Otherwise I would expect comparable results. Their firearms are a completely different story (it's bad).
Waiting for someone to come up with 6.9x69mm bullets (Japan?).:awoo_tired: shotgun snuggler :clownpiece_smug: likes this. -

@Ronnie21093 You also have the legacy of the Soviet Union, as a lot of those older guns and some of their new counterparts (the AK line mostly) are still chambered in the old Soviet 5.45×39mm and 7.62×39mm ammo types. -

@supersid333 5.45 came after 5.56, so by that metric 5.56 is old. 5.8 I guess is new by that standard. I know 5.45 is better than 5.56 but I wonder how much better 5.8 is to 5.45. They all seemed to have developed around the same decade while it seems 5.8 took an entire decade to fully develop.
