   you know how much Sony is addicated to inventing new media formats? They introduced a backup tape format called "QIC-wide" that used .315" (8mm) tape.

   You know what the "QI" in QIC stands for? QUARTER INCH.

     I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from the company that invented the 3.5-inch floppy disk that's not actually 3.5-inches.

     5.25" disks are 5.25", 8" disks are 8", but since the 3.5" disk was invented by a Japanese company, they're actually 90mm disks, making them 3.543"
