I received one of these units a few months back and I just got around to testing it out. It's a Popcorn Time A-100, a media playback device that can playback any unencrypted (non-DRM infected) MPEG-4 or H.265 video file. It has outputs for Composite, S-Video, Component, and HDMI, so I can connect it to either my CRT TV or my LCD. I've got plenty of ideas to use it for, including watching all episodes of Computer Chronicles on the CRT.

Works just as if it were playing on a normal DVD player

I'd love to get an HDD or an SDD installed but the unit is missing the HDD power cable so I'd have to get a custom cable made or somehow route the connector of a molex AC adapter inside of the unit to get power to the storage.
