     @DW2 They probably pushed the "brother vs. brother" thing to not make it apparent a foreign entity was invading an homogenous, sovereign nation. Oh, and also to hide that the only reason for the late victories were constant deadly (for the Union) zerg rushes, for which foreigners were used as meat for the meat grinder. No matter how good your strategy is, you cannot win against oppressive numbers.
