     Did you know iguanas came in blue? They do, but the blue looks best on males and during breeding season, otherwise they tend to be more of a bluish grey. The Blue Iguana is endemic to the island of Grand Cayman and is one of the longest-living species of lizard; up to 69 years. (Nice. 😎) It enjoys rocky, sunlit, open areas in dry forests or near the shore, as the females must dig holes in the sand to lay eggs in June and July, and possibly a second clutch in September. It favors a diet of plants, fruits, and flowers.
