     @moth_ball studio change, it IS off and the budget clearly was not up to par of S1, including the direction
     
     Having seen S2 I understand why: They're stalling arcs
     
     Basically, both S2 arcs, it introduce Alas Ramus, so you get baby shenanigans between Emi and Maou, but both arcs are basically "Maou go work somewhere for the summer and some shenanigans happens that doesn't answer much but builds up for what is S3 currently" so yeah, that's probably why we didn't get S2 for so long

     @moth_ball also apparently we're up to volume 10? With 11 more to adapt, I have no idea if they'll bother with the rest at this point
     
     S2 was disappointing overall, the downgrade and stalling arcs. It still had decent slice of life value to it. However S3 is where it's at with the plot actually kicking in

     @coolboymew It certainly does feel like there's more coming since they picked up the pace during this season. I haven't seen the last 4 episodes yet but I've been enjoying myself a lot more than I did with the earlier half of S2.

     But yeah, I stalled early and now I'm catching up and... whoa, it's pretty good
     
     Apparently it's being well received in Japan so more isn't impossible
