   Gotta disagree here. The problem is that humans in groups choose illusions like free stuff from government that then creates tyrants.

     Sometimes #MAGA feels like a CIA plot. The problem isn't a secret cabal but all very rich people using their money and connections to tilt society more towards their interests than ours. Votes aren't stolen but reforms that would give them less influence over elections don't get covered by the media. Big pharma isn't intentionally killing people but the patent system is rigged to profit them over the public interest. Layering crazy on real problems make them easier for most people to dismiss.
