     @animeirl @vriska @nyx if i still used my phone as a general purpose computing device i'd be fucking furious you can't install whatever you want on it like torrent clients and emulators. but i only use it for camera and phone calls so it's tolerable. but make no mistake it's a gilded cage. android has a ton of problems but it lets you install anything on it if you get an unlocked bootloader device, which the flagship phones are.

     @vriska iOS is better designed and optimized for hardware since everything is vertically integrated, but more locked down; Android is more open but is also fucking garbage and bloated and it's still owned by Google anyways and is becoming harder and harder to keep more free and open in any meaningful sense
