Think for a moment about what this tells you about a company like this, in a nutshell:
> Tells you the company is really particular about your imagery, company branding supersedes all function
> he thinks this is a bonus
> It saves me $300, maybe $800 for a whole collection
> thinks his company's purchasing dept chooses good bags
> that this still happens means the pilot base is okay with it
> or that management isn't listening
> or that the pilots don't fly enough to wear out their bags
All of those are distressing to consider.-

I looked at this company and got a middling feeling from them, like there’s something amiss but couldn’t really point to anything overt.
Once I started thinking about what’s diff. about them from their competitors, I just thought about the work culture issues that follow from this one operator bucking the trend.

They go for stuff w/ hard core steel frames, tons of external pocket access, robust skate wheels, and hard-wearing handles.
You don’t see gay aluminum telescoping shit or 2-pocket solutions. Those crap bags (that look just like bottom-dollar garbage your grandma vacations with) won’t last 2 months of flying the line. And that’s what you can suss out from ONE little tidbit about a company.
Maybe at best they bought into this idea and have a whole room full of them to give away and burn through, but even then it’s probably just so you have to pay out of pocket for a good commute-worthy bag and they can say they issued you one.

Colors are kinda gay but whatever. I’ll give them a shot. Betcha the training bond will be something obscene like 3y$100k
