     @coolboymew@shitposter.club @animeirl@shitposter.club @maija@comp.lain.la You should watch lupin the first movie probably one of the best non-american CG movie I've seen.
     
     It can sometimes be a style issue but it's mostly money. the average tv anime doesn't have Detective Conan money so they all look very stiff and jarring especially compared to the 2d elements.

     @Weeble @animeirl @maija the thing is that the pretty rhythm franchise and aikatsu are outright tied to their main money maker: the arcade game, which since it's a game, it's 3D, so they have no incentive to hide the 3D of the songs

     @coolboymew @maija @animeirl Houseki no Kuni and BBK/BRNK are the only unapologetic 3DCG anime examples I'd vouch for. Not counting ufotable stuff like UBW where the 3DCG is stylized away to not draw attention to its nature.
