Veggies used to be so cheap in the US at the Asian shops I liked you could buy what seemed like unlimited food for $5. :shrugz:

"you bought the small rice bag and the small dried beans bag?? Buy the biggest size, it stays for years and is 4x as cost-efficient"
Seriously, it's like 8x as much for 2x the price.
Rice and beans are fucking great. Add a little cheese and/or taco seasoning, and it's still probably cheaper than instant ramen. -

How do we pay for our bourgeois luxuries and feel-good policies and programs?
Tax the poor.
Inflation is (among other things) a very regressive tax on the poor.
If progressives realized this, you'd think they'd care about inflation.
But there's this notion that inflation is caused by all the greedy companies colluding to raise their prices, rather than money-printing.
