     It starts with some really onenote jokes, but after a few eps it opens up when more characters are introduced and it becomes an interesting comfy love story

     And yes, I stopped watching for a while after the first two or three episodes because it didn't seem to have much of a plot, but it picked up after that.

     A lot of people just drops it after the initial ep and it's shame because it's pretty great
     
     The 3DCG is my SMDE, which also did Hi Score Girl, this has a similar style, and it's pretty good

     I'm not usually a fan of the cg look, mostly because it's jarring when they tried to make it look 2d even though your brain keeps picking up on the 3d aspects of it. Bocchan did eventually grow on me though, at least partly because they committed to the 3d look.
