   Oddly enough you usually find the better examples of women in anime that are considered less good. Or at the very least they are a side character, sometimes interest in someone other than the MC.
   
   Hinata (so much better than Sakura),
   Rangiku (so much better than Rukia),,
   Miu Furinji (though she did lead the MC into a life of violence xD),
   Milly Thompson
   
   I remember a few better examples, but not from anything that I know the name of xD
   
   My point is, Taiga Aisaka, Sakura, and Rukia. Are all examples of modern woman, who can only have combative relationships with men. You can find crap women in anime, but it doesn't invalidate the spirit of my original post.
