   good audio production hits extra hard if you own a pair of HS-8 monitors

   best speakers i ever owned

   i'm often broke but i invested in a pair of these. i've seen them in fairly serious recording studios.

   if you're recording and mixing, i'll scream like SpectreSoundStudios on YouTube when fans ask if you should invest in monitors

     @thor Very true, but as someone who has played the game and won, and who have helped many people do the same (I tutor others to be successful, and many times given homeless people a place to live along with that to get them to a place of success)... with that expiernce I'd say I have a pretty good knowledge base to judge what isnt and isnt effective.

     @thor Not in the least... it really adds up and is quite vital to getting out of poverty... I speak as someone who started life in the welfare system and found my way out.

     @thor Every rich person I have ever known has been frugal with small day to day expenses both before they got rich and after.

     While you can of course be successful without the need for that, it is a mentality and approach that, more often than not, is necessary to see success.

     as a rough rule

     one-time investments are not where you should be saving the money.

     those little things you spend on everyday is what empties your bank account all the time.

     you're not gonna be rich by saving on daily expenses however. i think you can spend on those.

     the thing is that when you happen to have more, invest in something.

     a trip to visit a good friend is an investment. buying a new instrument to explore your musical abilities is also an investment. those last a long time, so they're an investment into your happiness. any wife who doesn't get this should shut up.

     also, when you're new to audio production

     i'm going to give some bad advice here, but if you care about good audio

     maybe spend a bit more on the nicer monitors and have noodles for a few weeks. they'll last a long time.

     i'm living on very little right now but i have VERY nice audio for everything because i lived on noodles a few years back.
