   @dansup @pixelfed At Friendica we can "stack" deliveries, which increases the delivery performance. Means: We store the payload in a table with the target inbox as key. Then we call the worker that does the delivery per inbox. That worker then takes all payloads for the given inbox. When your server does a lot of deliveries, then this means that the delivery worker will deliver several payloads in one task.

     I've found a few perf issues in @pixelfed accounts with 1k+ followers

     Fanout and audience delivery are two tricky aspects that require more work, I'm working on this, and exploring ways to make pixelfed <-> pixelfed federation even more efficient!
