CNC manufacturer (hubs) messed up and after delays, sent us a load of unusable aluminum parts for the standalone keyboards. we have to go through everything now and document and try to get the money back, and remanufacture them in another place in parallel
@splinux@matthewvenn what do you mean by "them"? not the bad ones in those pictures. we had previous parts, like MNT Reform laptop case parts, machined by JPR who are based in Jinan, Shandong, and we were mostly happy with them.
@splinux@matthewvenn it would be possible to do CNC parts in europe nowadays but the price would be around double. for MNT Reform i think the case parts alone would be around 500 EUR at least, and this is for 50 MOQ
@mntmn@matthewvenn understand. In my mind it was all German made. Of course, this is ridiculous in hindsight, especially because I live in China and I should know better some easier components have no competitive price elsewhere.
