   This is not the problem. On jewgle drive and (((mega))) you need to discover content just the same, and people manage that. But then they are storing the content on hostile servers waiting for some retard to do something stupid and get it nuked. The problem is that fucking zoomers can't into of torrents.

     I totally agree that torrenting solves the problem of file sharing. But people need to discover content somehow, and forums are good for that. In this area ActivityPub can be really useful.

     Matrix is good but jumping between apps is not convenient. I'd like to have encrypted DMs here as well.

     One of the slides mentions a few unfulfilled (yet) niches using AP, among which are:

     - file sharing
     - instant messaging

     The presenter argues that AP can handle those use-cases. However, I do believe in leaving those two to 1) torrenting (over i2p, for bonus points), 2) matrix, respectively.
