I totally agree that torrenting solves the problem of file sharing. But people need to discover content somehow, and forums are good for that. In this area ActivityPub can be really useful.

One of the slides mentions a few unfulfilled (yet) niches using AP, among which are:

The presenter argues that AP can handle those use-cases. However, I do believe in leaving those two to 1) torrenting (over i2p, for bonus points), 2) matrix, respectively.
