     I figure a game isn't a communication platform in its own right, so it doesn't need its own discovery mechanism. But you could run a 1st-party directory anyway.

     @Zerglingman @mangeurdenuage @birdulon @hakui right now I don't think there's a way to add arbitrary data to a server's nodeinfo, that is really needed for opt-in capability. for example a server owner could add a field that says "allow-game-xyz" and then the game knows it can talk to that server.

     @Moon @mangeurdenuage @hakui @birdulon What's the significance of that though? Even if you're doing the game over AP, you could just have the game's specific nodeinfo (/api/v3/site, /api/v1/instance, whatever) include it. Unless you really want the game to be able to work with non-game nodes.
     Or, I guess, different games. Hmm...

     @Zerglingman @mangeurdenuage @birdulon @hakui I'm just musing on it, one issue I had with 10grans is that some people really think things like that should be strictly opt-in. also if it were a fedi thing yeah it would have to work with non-game servers to be interesting.
