     @kaia :blobcatshrug2: since lora exists you could just use lora for transmitting encrypted messages over a longer distance, which is in fact legal. There are already projects for this:

     @Zerglingman Yeah. I'm unlicensed myself so I'm stuck with PMR446 and Citizens' Band radio. It's not illegal to receive, only transmit on licensed frequencies.
