     @ArdainianRight Not even going to pretend I know much about sportsball 2023, but back when Art Modell (rest in piss) sold the Browns up the river to a dogshit franchise called the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland became even more of a shithole than it was before steel and car manufacturing withered on the vine

     When the Browns were reacquired and they had that trash season which followed, that's about when I gave up on sportsball in general. I grew up there so I had a lot of attachment to the teams from family who cared a lot about that sort of thing
     
     It was pre-Lebron James so the Cavs sucked ass, and the Indians kept snatching defeat from the jaws of victory even with kick ass players like Lofton, Ramirez and Thome carrying big time

     Yeah. My poor mother got a tattoo of Chief Wahoo on her ankle when grandpa passed. You can understand the fury when they decided to rebrand to this soulless "Guardians" moniker. No one in fucking Cleveland calls them the Guardians except sports announcers.
     
     It's like the Redskins. No one stopped calling them that. Whole fucking sportsball money suit fucks up there are a bunch of ESG cocksuckers who chase trends instead of make them.

     Deshaun Watson was always horribly overrated imo. And Baker had had a rough season, but he was playing through an injury. They sold the farm for a guy who was at best good rather than great, and missed a year and a half dealing with rape allegations, and ran out another good but not great QB who they could've had for much cheaper. I don't even think it's just him being black, he never got nearly as much criticism as Lamar despite Lamar simply being better.
