     @AlgorithmWolf it's much better than it was many years ago imo these days with the clients that exist like conversations.im.
     
     The problem is with trying to get back into groups where people hate you is people with eternal grudges will remember details about you and think "hey wait a minute is this that ulven dude".

     So when are you going to make a matrix or xmpp? I have both and there's a nice xmpp app for phones called conversations.im, while gajim is good on the desktop.

     @PurpCat I used XMPP many years ago. Stopped because it is just a subpar mobile experience.

     And Matrix is just really bad as well.

     I am very upset and don't know how to continue. I am considering deleting Ulven permanently on every social. Too many people hate me as it is, it's an opportunity to start from scratch.

     @PurpCat I tried Conversations, regardless I use macOS and iOS. While I have an Android phone, my main devices are Apple.

     And yes, that's why I'm considering just taking advantage of it and disappearing.

     Adding to this: I’m not an iOS/macOS user, but I’ve seen a significant overhaul and uptick of development activity of Monal in the past year, especially since it’s gotten funding for development. https://monal-im.org/ https://monal-im.org/post/

     It has fairly poor reviews/reputation on the Apple App Store because–those are very old reviews when the project seemed practically abandoned. Reviews/ratings in the past year are more accurate.
