   Alright I'll explain my beef with Mushoku Tensei.
   It does an incredible job setting up characters and then it just keeps putting them on a FUCKING BUS for half the story to start setting up entirely new casts of characters who will later also get sent to the FUCKING BUS. And then the writing just turns genuinely abysmal by the end of volume 6 of the web novel.
   Starting a character's arc and then putting it on hold so you can start 15 more before you get back to it isn't cleverly setting stuff up for later Monogatari-style, it's the most horrible type of narrative blueballing. It was acceptable when it was well written but it gets fucking annoying when the story keeps getting worse and worse and the characters hopping aboard the FUCKING BUS becomes less and less justifiable.
