   I was already losing interest in pro sports but since I'm becoming more convinced it's all scripted I'm having a really hard time relating to all my NFL loving normie friends

     "Scripted" is probably too strong a word to describe what goes on, but I do absolutely think shenanigans does happen to systematically influence the outcomes of prop bets and the like. Inside knowledge can influence all kinds of parleys and prop bets, and it's easier to probabilistically influence those than simply fixing games. A lot of money can ride on whether this or that receiver gets a meaningless catch in garbage time, or whether this team gets a meaningless score to backdoor cover as opposed to running the clock out, and that's easier to mess with than just fixing the games outright. Tim Donaghy never outright fixed games, but he did systematically influence games based on knowing how certain things would be officiated so that over time he'd consistently win more than he lost.

     @PraxisOfEvil Yes it's all scripted along with all other major Zachary K. Hubbard has done a lot of coverage on it, including sports.

     Parleys in particular are a massive kike scam. They lure you in with a bunch of individually reasonable prop bets and enticing payouts, but there's always that one leg of the parlay that doesn't hit because the QB got benched or whatever.

     My friend at work keep complaining to me that he gets fucked over in parleys because some receiver didn't get enough yards or something, I want to slap the phone out of his hand
