     @dushman @emma @efertone @adiz @jeff Okay but repack does basically a vacuum full and keeps the db online (its not exactly the same process but does the same job)

     You can run VACUUM ANALYZE while the db is online

     @adiz @emma @dushman @jeff @efertone Thats because social media db's have a lot of data incoming and reading, for it to not become mega bloated and slow you need ro remove dead or useless "blocks".

     @dcc@annihilation.social Regularly running VACUUM FULL (or, things like it ["does the same job"]) isn't recommended by any of the docs I've come across, and is actually warned against. @dushman@den.raccoon.quest @emma@niscii.xyz @efertone@slippy.xyz @jeff@misinformation.wikileaks2.org
