Most people have been trained to believe the appearances.
Ohh you have a degree, you must be smart, oh you were glasses, oh, you dress sloppy I shouldn't take you seriously.

When you drop all this indoctrination, it's much easier to see through people's faux personas, or masks they were, friends or otherwise.

I find enjoyment in playing with this indoctrination of people irl.
