     @graf @tyler @dushman Yea, there is something wrong with the cpu as well so im just going to upgrade it, as well new ram. For now im just running my server off my main pc.

     Tbqh Ive had excellent homemserver experiences with Thinkservers.

     @tyler @dushman @graf Nope, let me tell you the issues i have been having. A few months i noticed the server kept crashing every 20 minutes, i plugged in a monitor and the screen was giving me a seizure output. I though f2fs was corrupted, reinstalled slackware and to me i though it was fixed. Come thursday the server rack case came and i moved the server into it. It would not boot, took it(becuase i forgot 2 of the sata ports were dead) out plug in a monitor boom same issue (and crashing) so i figured it was due to what gpu is selected as the initial one, now it crashed every 5-9 hours and some programs would crash with a general protection fault. And then the server would no boot, short the cmos and kaboom. Yes i did get a rack that i just installed yesterday.

     Most of my problems have happened because I upgraded.

     @tyler@1611.social I do keep things updated regularly, but, there is actually some merit to this: most of the problems I've ever run into have resulted from trying to update firmware or packages. I guess the whole "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" mentality has some truth to it.
