Scientism is a conceit that the populist secular dogma of the day (aka: ``science``) trumps all other concerns including ethics and especially the equal rights of individuals to exercise a differing opinion. In reality "science" is founded upon this very notion of dissent. In seeking to curtail it, such claims of an unimpeachable ``science`` are rendered a blatant hypocrisy.
