   what's the simplest way to have a static site with minimum exposure of personal details
   
   the thing that comes to mind is a free hosted page from github or whatever and only ever accessing the user account through a VPN but that's kinda gay

     @dommymommy @deprecated_ii That's how it worked in the old days, you went to the kazillion free hosting site and put it there. You had 20mb. There was even free .fr.st domains at some point you could have, no questions asked
