Anyone have a favorite compute rental service that is not an American mega corporation (Amazon, Microsoft, Google)that has data centers somewhere close enough to southern california to have reasonable ssh performance?

  @alienghic The services I tend to use are Catalyst Cloud & Rimu Hosting.
  Catalyst is purely NZ so while it might work, I don't think its what you're asking for. Rimu Hosting on the otherhand is international and can offer lower prices via their Xen VMs.
