   People may hate Stallman a lot and some of the critisms are valid. However, his extreme disdain for nonfree software is 100% necessary in the current open source climate. There needs to be an extreme like him, you see, otherwise a lot more people would bend the knee to proprietary licenses so as to save face in front of corporate and public entities.

     Problem becomes when corporations making proprietary software take over free as in freedom software projects.
