     A lot of stuff from Osamu Tezuka is in that list too, including Astro Boy, Baggy, Unico, Fumoon, and Phoenix, to name a few.
     I also spy Moomin, Excel Saga, and Slayers. This is quite literally the absolute worst case scenario if this stuff gets destroyed.

     Anime is such a huge piece of Japan’s modern cultural identity, and it even has historic ties with Japan. Why the hell would there not be an archival effort from the government?

     Oh my God think about all the great anime we’ve never seen and we’ll never be able to see because they’ve been so thoughtlessly destroyed like this. There will be no evidence of some peoples’ hard work.

     Honestly the government needs to step in and preserve them as cultural artifacts or angel investor collectors need to find a way to stop this.
