     @mmu_man @lina i am not talking about opening and closing, i am well aware of that. i am talking about editing the features of a STEP model, i.e. moving the faces of an extrusion while keeping it intact

     @mntmn @lina actually FreeCAD opened this KiCad exported STEP just fine, and exported it too… so I suppose you could do some minor rework on them with it?
