     This is such a frequent topic at work. At least a lot of the boomers see that the deck is stacked against you, even if they won’t budge from “so what, just work 110% and out-compete everyone else! Who cares about their special treatment!”

     Because it tees them up for “well, they could skip the gamble and take the prizes already on the table and go home. You want them to roll the dice for a 1M payout, when $100k is on the table. You know what you’d do in a game show.
