   Like most of y'all, starting to really notice the decline in quality and consistency of stuff. Especially on the tech side lately.
   
   Most of it is comparatively small, but it really start to add up in the aggregate:
   -issue with the specialized software we use at work, and customer support is slow and difficult to work with; delay of a day or three for my team's main project
   -coworker in accounts payable freaking out because the bank is having problems, and payables might be delayed a day
   -coworker who works remote is having internet issues at home, pushing our meeting to next week
   
   I'm frustrated, but also strangely whitepilled. I might be coping tbh, but this kind of space where things require constant attention is not conducive to browns and queers with high time preference. They can only operate when things work well and reliably. The frontier of slow-motion collapse is a space that only the high-functioning White man can deal with and prosper within.

     I give people a window now.

     “yeah, at best, assuming their estimates are right and everything is here on time, then it’ll be ready next thursday. Realistically, I’d plan on it taking about 2 weeks to be complete. Just the way it is, plan on the worst and be pleasantly surprised if it’s ready sooner than that”
