@alex I've been meaning to ask this but I keep forgetting: I usually use an app like Fedilab when I browse here. But sometimes I want to see things like on Soapbox, so I use Firefox mobile browser but scrolling doesn't feel too good, too choppy for my taste. It's functional outside of that.
Is it the Browser I chose and will it work better on, lets say Chrome?
-
@mischievoustomato It's not going to make me switch back to chrome.
-
@coin @alex firerox is dogshit
-
@alex I'll give it a try on Brave.
-
@coin I use Brave Android and it works pretty well. We support FireFox but they make it hard.
-
@mischievoustomato I don't know what to tell ya, use a fork of it then. Don't let Chrome be monopoly.
-
@coin its one of the things that made me swear it off when i gave it a chance lol
-
@mischievoustomato Well you're going to get fucked when Mv3 is the only thing available to chrome anyway.
Get used to the Firefox jank before you get shafted by Google.
-
@coin chrome is a monopoly anyway, and i only consider alternatives when I'm personally annoyed
-
@alex Yeah, it works better on Brave mobile.
-
@mischievoustomato These are solutions but temporary ones. Google's hold on the chrome's codebase will eventually neuter anyone who uses it. I'm not saying for you to switch right away, just... don't swear off Firefox entirely. It has its merits.

@coin if it happens and it annoys me, sure, but i could move to vivaldi or brave. ff is a last resort, i wish gnome web was usable...
