   There is a notorious incident where when Star Trek was about to air the publicity photo they sent out of Spock had his ears airbrushed to remove the points because the network was worried about offending Christians as Spock looked a lot like the devil.

     @morgthorak Ever read Childhood's End? Normalizing Satan was a big agenda back then. I guarantee Spock was intended to look like the devil more than an elf.

     I always thought the ears were more an elf thing, than satanic. But the country was very different than and much more Christian.
     
     Now it wouldn't matter as the GAE is so far down into the shitter that nobody would even notice the ears, even if they were twice as large as normal ears.
