@ElDeadKennedy it just came out. I took the NES one instead of the Famicom one. So yeah, volume knob works just fine
Since I'm using it wired, it means I don't need the 2.6GHZ adapter which is just this
https://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/ (it's ver 1) which means I have a free adapter, cool. Since I can just connect controller via bluetooth now on linux, I can maybe put it on the switch and use the superior Wii U Pro controller on my switch like that
@coolboymew@ElDeadKennedy Welcome to the club. I've been using Mechnical boards (cherry mx blue switches ) since 2010 and once you go mechanical you can't go back. I might try a different switch with my next board though while I like the blues I think I might try to go with a Mx brown since they have a click sound still but they're not as hard of a key to press down so it makes them better for gaming.
@BroDrillard@ElDeadKennedy they come with a few stickers, but still thinking what I could possibly even map. The keyboard itself also has big A B button
I've never used those type of switches but apparently the website says that the switches are hot swappable which makes it nice to fix if a switch goes bad. If mine goes south I gotta order new switches and desolder and resolder new ones for me that's not too difficult but most people hate soldering and I can't blame them because it requires a fairly steady hand and patience.
I did replace the caps on them once because the ones that came from the factory got oily / shiny from wear and usage and while usable some keys felt slippery and the shiny look triggered my OCD.
@coolboymew@CumskinFoidPuncher69420@ooignignoktoo Logitech K120 is really good for its price, I used it many years ago. I have a small collection of keyboards and usually I just use a different one whenever I feel like it. I have a few keyboards from the 80s, a handmade 40% ortholinear keyboard made from bronze and wood and a Keychron V3 which is what I'm using right now
@coolboymew@ElDeadKennedy Oh I didn’t see those were included at first seems a more reasonable price then. Forward and back macros for your browser are all I can think of until you have a better idea. Clicky switches makes the most sense for that style even though I prefer quiet switches myself
@MusicVideoGuy@ElDeadKennedy unfortunately, can't remap them to something fancy on linux (if you even could do that on Windows with the program), it seems like input mapper is not recognising both special AB buttons on the keyboard and external
However, with the built in quick remap button, you can map them to any keyboard shortcut, which would also technically mean you can map them to an obscure never used shortcut, that you have changed to in the system to do something fancy, so there's that
