   Can any auto mechanics fill me in on what is going on?
   
   Here’s the situation:
   Car won’t start
   Get jumper battery, connect to battery, turn on.
   Turn key, doesn’t turn over.
   Get red light and a red electrical symbol on dash.
   Sit, wait. Symbol goes away
   Turn key, works like a charm
   Is this just an old battery that needs replacing? Is there something wrong with the starter? Something else?

     @Griffith Check the owner's manual for what that symbol means. Is there clicking when you try to start it?
