REPOSTING BECAUSE YOU NIGGERS ARE EATING GOYSLOP VIDYA AGAIN
blob

@Zerglingman i seriously don't understand the people who hate corporations and le woke shit and jews and then go and play shit like starfield and baldur's gate 3, and not even pirate it too
-
@lina No even if they pirate it it still doesn't make sense.
Either they already know it's going to be soul-destroying garbage, or they're incredibly fucking naieve.
-
YOU NIGGERS KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
SHAME
SHAME
-
@Zerglingman nah see, if you pirate it and check what's it like for yourself, in case you don't like watching gameplay on youtube or something, and see that it sucks, you only lost like a couple hours of your time, not counting the download and install times
if you buy it though not only did you waste your time, you gave money to faggots, and if you didn't refund it, then you're also literally eating shit
of course it's just better to do recon, as with all things, if twitter (or rather paid shill bots on twitter) is seething in defense of some game, chances are it's not worth playing whatsoever cuz it's gonna be trash
-
@lina Those couple of hours could have been spent playing actual good games.
Or reading, idk, Princess of Ruin.
Which is actually trash but it's the enjoyable kind of trash, not the "why did I think sucking jewish cock was going to be fun? It hasn't been fun the last 50 times" kind.

@lina @Zerglingman
I think they want to be part of the happening. Corpos are paying good money to astroturf every single online gaming space in such a way that it you don't pay them every couple of months you will feel left out of the "community" itself.
-
@laurel @lina I like to believe fedi people are not that stupid.
-
@Zerglingman @lina
As long as they visit these places there is no way to get around it. There is no legitimate reason to visit 4/v/ or r/slop and yet people will still browser.
It's 90% about the shitposting and maybe 10% about the games.
Unless they find a better alternative for gaming related posting it'll keep happening.
-
@laurel @lina groups... 😨
-
@Zerglingman sometimes you gotta poke your head out and check things out
however you aren't really forced to do that every time, there's a reason why we have pattern recognition in our brains
going by recent trends, going by what a studio did, going by what's being said about the games, it can easily paint an image of what it is before you even play it, and often times it'll be correct
these games have a major stink about them in free speech areas and they have major shilling and defense and faggy sass along the lines of "this game makes bigots call for mommy", and they have it for the reasons that have been seemingly a staple of video games as of late: faggot project leads forcing the dev team consisting of half dried out husks that just don't care anymroe to disagree and neon haired pronouns-niggers that don't even know their job, dubious features like "picking pronouns", "picking genitalia", "body types instead of character sex", "excessive melanin in characters", etc.
if you have to fucking play the game to see what the stink is all about, then idk what to say anymore
either way, i had a moment like that with yakuza 7, i gave it an honest chance and i hated everything they did to the combat system, and seeing that they're gonna move onwards with the jrpg shit instead of the brawler gameplay just tells me that i ain't gonna bother with yakuza 8
-
@laurel @Zerglingman guess i'm just not like that, otherwise i would've killed myself over missing out on the kill la kill craze back when it aired
i think being in a community is inferior to having friends that like the same thing as you
-
@lina @laurel >i think being in a community is inferior to having friends that like the same thing as you
Is there a functional difference?
As I see it, the difference is more about following hype trains vs... Not. Which is objectively better, and allows you to not worry about seasonal anime (which also makes you less of a fucking manwhore, leaving a waifu to the memory bin every 13 weeks 🤮)
-
@Zerglingman @lina
I'm looking a lot in azorius source lately. Hopefully I can fork it to be fully compatible with Pleroma. As in pleroma users to be able to follow, post new threads and comment in azorius groups. Leaving only moderation to necessarily happen on azorius.

@Zerglingman @laurel see, if you just have friends that like the same thing as you, you get to miss out on all the shitty parts of being in a community, like all the drama, hype trains, faggotry over seasonal shit while having people to discuss the same thing, play the same thing, or whatever else you can do with said same thing
-
@lina @laurel That sounds a lot like being in a community for the thing though.
Just not the same community as the majority of fans (for what is likely a very loose definition of "fan").
-
@Zerglingman @laurel i never felt like i'm in a community when i'm talking about shit with my friends :ryukoeat:
-
@Zerglingman @lina
>Is there a functional difference?
Communities, especially online ones, can turn parasocial or even fully controlled a lot easier than irl friend groups can.
Community celebs and preoccupation with drama starting to appear could be viewed as a sign that the place is turning from a community into a consoomer group.
-
@laurel @lina >irl friend groups
Imagine not living in normieville. And that's not really the point. It's about friend groups inc. online vs communities (focused on a topic).
I think that's a reasonable distinction.
-
@laurel @Zerglingman @lina
Parasocial is not the problem, it is being social generally. Social groups reward distractions.
-
@amerika @Zerglingman @lina
You can't have groups without the members being social within them.
The very concepts we use to communicate are rooted in shared experiences and so are our thoughts.
And it does make a difference how these groups are structured, how the members communicate, etc just as much as who the members are.
-
@Zerglingman @lina
Yeah, there can be healthy communities. Not to mention that meeting friends is almost always done within a community.
Perhaps the problems with online relationships is that interactions with friends are being done in the exact same way as interactions with friend groups inc. are done. Whereas in the past participating in a community and spending time with your friends were of completely different type.
Normiecattle being extremely shallow in the first place makes this substitution even easier.
