High heat sears it in quick and the smoke adds flavor. Maybe a little fat is lost but no more than what's left in your pan when done. -

It takes only a few minutes to cook them through and if they were any juicier the bun would completely fall apart before we could eat them. Skillets are cool and all but as matter of preference I think a burger on a grill fired with wood tastes better.
This started as a shitpost and turned into a retarded argument for some reason. I dont care how you cook your burgers. Plenty of people cook on the skillet. When I don't have time to use the grill or it's raining or whatever I use the skillet. Use a grill, don't, it has no bearing on my life. -
dew_the_dew :verified: (dew_the_dew@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 08-Sep-2023 03:40:09 JST dew_the_dew :verified: the grill is probably a better option because cooking meat properly in a house with residential kitchen vents will usually set off the smoke detector and i am giving you credit for you have probably changed the batteries. -

Lately I've been thinking about trying my hand at smoking salt because smoked salt is usually pretty expensive but I buy 50lbs bags at a time of coarse salt so I can smoke a pound or two and keep it on hand for when I can't or dont feel like using the grill but want that smoke flavor. I also want to try making smoked peppers that I could toss into chilli and stuff over winter. cool_boy_mew likes this.
