   Looks like #Ireland is limiting its #covid booster program (when it’s ready) to over 50s? I don’t get it. Surely the goal should be to limit spread as much as possible and it’s not only over 50s who are spreading this airborne virus…

   (Interesting footnote about speaking to your GP if you’re not eligible. I wonder if you can get it via referral even if you’re under 50 or something.)

     @jtgd Vaccines do provide protection from contracting and spreading the infection. Please do not spread harmful misinformation.

     Everyone is vulnerable to catch COVID and when they do they spread it.

     The vaccine doesn't prevent you from catching COVID, it lowers your odds of dying if you do, and mostly it's older people who die from it.

     So vaccinating everyone doesn't lower the spread of the disease, just the death toll.
