   Remember how there was that HUGE fight in the public eye between apple and the FBI because they refused to unlock the sacramento raghead shooter’s iphone?

   Kinda funny how that got the company the “cares about privacy” niche in the consumer eye, but it never happened ever again. Kooky. Crazy, even.

     That was the backups, the info they had on their own Icloud servers. For a brief time there was a line they didn’t want to cross unencrypting and unlocking personal phones in federal hands.

     I know there are commercial ops that address the need today, but I don’t doubt apple just folded
