You lived in a homogonous community where everyone knew each other and helped each other. Source: My very own boomer parents and my grandparents who told me stories about this my entire fucking life.

     @DW2 they love to mention that they had to "endure" "crappy cars furniture and food" along the way n9t realising that this generation cannot even afford to own a crappy car outright, most have to take out a loan to get one.

     Must be nice to be able pay your way through college rather then take out a loan you have to pay off over the course of years, all while desperately searching for work in the field you studied for only to learn that much of it has been outsourced and by people who are now telling us all to "pull yourself up by the bootstraps". As if none of us have been doing that already from day one.
     
     I know some might say it's such a cliche thing to say to and about boomers but maybe that's because its fucking true.
