   Believing in God but not believing in hell or not believing hell is well-populated is such a Boomer take. Anyone vaguely familiar with the depths of the internet knows a lot of people are out there earning their eternal damnation. Gee, I wonder what a just God would do to the proud members of the "puppy rape and torture" community?

     I believe in God, but not organized religion, especially not those from the middle east.

     The real Hell is people wasting their lives and finding no reason to exist after death.

     Agreed. It follows a Bell Curve: some live in a divine state for the most part, some mostly live in Hell, and most are in the middle, muddling through.

     This was what Jesus, Plato, and Buddha were trying to tell us: if one focuses on the world outside of the self, and makes sanity in the self, then one exists in something like paradise.

     Otherwise it is a muddle ratcheting between misery and joy, or goes even darker.

     In my experience, it is weighted toward the middle, but the only good living is on the right side.

     Life is OK at 100 IQ points, but pretty good at 120 IQ points, for a comparison.

     Most people seem to be in a ping-pong state between happiness and misery.
