   @mian there are a lot of fine distinctions when it comes to type systems. it's more of a spectrum than a binary. but you can do web development - both frontend and backend - just fine in a language with a flexible type system.

   types who like to make decisions quickly and early might lean toward more rigid typing while people who like to leave options open might prefer a more flexible one.

     People who use hard ones are easy to spot because they wont touch anything with dynamic typing (for good reasons tho). The others probably have a job where they use a programming language instead of the job being about programming.

     there are soft and hard programming languages

     people who use hard ones scoff at people who use soft ones

     people who use soft ones are probably more fun to hang out with though 😜
