   4th Seed Alice (Monster Girl Quest) VS 29th Seed Ganyu (Genshin Impact)
   
   Shantae VS Tamamo (MGQ) was pure insanity, and was literally decided by a single vote. Shanoa VS Tifa is also still pretty close, though it looks like Tifa’s massive mainstream appeal will overcome Shanoa’s far more enthusiastic and active, but smaller fanbase. Tomorrow’s bout however is set to be something of breather match. Not only does it pit a top 4 seed against a bottom 4 seed, it involves characters from franchises that we already have a pretty good read on.
   
   Tamamo’s performance against Shantae showed that Monster Girl Quest is the real deal – and Alice is that game’s most important female character. It’s possible that Tamamo is still the stronger contestant, due to fluffy tails and Loli form, not to mention more art on gelbooru, but Alice is for the moment assumed to be the top MGQ girl. Meanwhile, Ganyu underperformed Mona (by one vote, but still) in the Qualifier poll, and for much of Mona’s own tournament match her game was looking a lot like GenSHIT Impact, though she eventually did make her defeat look at least somewhat respectable.
   
   This battle will see a snake girl take on a goat girl, and all signs points towards the snake devouring the goat. Ganyu is cute and all, and a well-liked Genshin girl, but she’s going up against a stronger character who also represents a stronger franchise (on Fedi only of course, in many other settings Ganyu would stomp). Accordingly, I expect an easy Alice win, if not an outright blowout.
