@NotImportant Nothing but sisters, and she’s the “failure”. That’s why she likes the idea of an older brother being there to save her and appreciate her where no one else would.
Also plays into the idea that most guys aren’t trustworthy to actually love you unless you’re ‘perfect’ (by chick standards), so the whole incest angle assures that he actually really loves her in a way she can rely on forever.
At least that’s my buest guess after talking about it for so long

@NotImportant Kinda. No career, too shy to be popular, just had that stunted zoomer thing where the older sisters hit the milestones just right, got married pre-tinder, that sort of thing. She was just the runt of the litter, like no one had the patience to handle her so she was always in that introverted, quiet, low-confidence version of herself. Her dad strikes me as a good boy-dad, but a poor girl-dad. Even now I think he likes me more than he does her.
They’re always surprised to see her now, because she’s so different from back then. All I did was give her proper care and feeding and she bloomed just fine. They just assumed she could raise herself like the rest of the kids, and that’s a rare trait in a child
