Read a bit up on toki pona, I feel outside of poetry the language isn’t all that useful? It’s simplicity in word count means complex topics can not be explained precisely.
Seems like it could create a lot of misunderstanding of intent.
For example “mi moku” could be “I am eating” or “I am food”
Doesn’t seem practical to me

Problem gets exacerbated when you combine noun-adjectives together. I’m trying to precisely say what you want you end up making the sentence more vague and up to the interpretation of the listener

@lofty it was just a quick and simple example, but as you use the language’s constructs and particles to construct more complex thoughts those thoughts have a tendency to get more and more vague and up to the listeners interpretation

@LunaFoxgirlVT I think part of it comes down to inference (is "mi moku" really ambiguous? just because you can translate it to "I am food" doesn't mean that *is* the translation); and part of it comes down to encouraging people to think in terms of simple concepts instead.

@lofty depends on cultural context as well though, which isn’t universal

@LunaFoxgirlVT do you remember xkcd's Up Goer Five? sure, sentences like "thing to help people escape really fast if there's a problem" are vague, but contextually we can put those back together to note it's the launch escape system.
