My daughter just shouted “Amen!” in the middle of Grace tonight (I think she thought I was taking too long). As far as I know she’s on track/ahead with her words, but at her age that’s still not many words at all. Most of what she says that isn’t babbling, “mama”, “dada”, “ball” or a horribly mispronounced “kitty” or “shoe” is an imitation of what you just said, so it caught me completely by surprise that she not only pronounced it perfectly, but she said it unprompted, seemingly remembering it was coming next/soon after what we were doing. It was the cutest thing on the planet.
