Plato fits in really well with Christianity and his work served as important groundwork for many important early Christians. There is nothing wrong with this. God can work through non-Christians too.

There's definitely the issue of figuring out what's valuable in it, and what doesn't fit and leads to false understandings. Plato at his best is nevertheless invaluable for Western Christian civilization.

@ArdainianRight Platonists were actually a big problem for the early Christians. They would co-opt our metaphysics but leave out the incarnation and the sacraments. Many heresies have their roots in neoplatonism, especially the Gnostics.
